You are familiar with this calculator? It is almost identical to the TI-1766, the first calculator using solar cells marketed by Texas Instruments.
The
LC-847 was the first calculator using solar cells sold by Toshiba. Please notice
that with the beginning of the solar cells era a total of 10 elements was used.
Later products use just 4 or 5 elements due to the reduced supply voltage of
1.5V instead the previous 3V for the calculator chips.
