This
is really an interestig SCIENTIFIC calculator! An identical calculator was sold as TI-1744,
the name convention of a BASIC calculator. But we know this confusion from other
SCIENTIFIC
calculators of this era. Remember the TI-15.
Dismantling
the TI-18 reveals indeed an identical single-chip calculator circuit
manufactured by NEC.
The design of the TI-18 was slightly changed during the production run. Please notice the "AUTO SHUT OFF" description found on later TI-18 and reason for an additional [ON] key with the Canon card F-32.
