The original
TI-106 was introduced already in 1989 and received a
major redesign in 1996. This third generation of the TI-106 looks identical to
the second generation TI-106 but added a small battery to
the solar cells.
Dismantling
this TI-106 manufactured in December 2006 by Nam
Tai Electronics, Inc. reveals a printed circuit board (PCB) very similiar to a TI-106
manufactured in April 2004.
Texas Instruments introduced with the TI-106 écolier
a very colorful variation of the TI-106 for the French market.
