This LETTERlogic sold in the United Kingdom is an interesting combination:

The design is borrowed from the German LETTERlogic
The keyplate and the electronic inside are borrowed from the original Mr. Challenger

Letterlogic_UK_PCB.jpg (83289 Byte)The printed circuit boards (PCBs) of the three versions are almost identical and share the TMC0273 microcontroller and a TMC0355 Voice Synthesis Memory (VSM), known as "128kBit Speech-ROM" of the Speak & Spell family. The different languages of the three games are coded in these ROMs:

CD2601: Mr. Challenger, LETTERlogic (UK)
CD2603: LETTERlogic (France)
CD2604: LETTERlogic (Germany)
