The first
edition of the TI-52 was manufactured in Japan.
Please notice the two rigid printed circuit boards (PCB's), a smaller one for the display and the Toshiba single-chip calculator circuit and a larger one for the keyboard. The two coin-type batteries are orientated in east-west direction. |

The second
edition of the TI-52 was manufactured in Italy. The
internal construction is totally different and uses a two-sided flexible board. We know this type of design already from other calculators like the TI-30. The two coin-type batteries are orientated in north-south direction. |
