The first - rare - series of the TI-68 uses a metal bezel
around the display instead the later plastic frame.

The second series of the TI-68 added a groove around the ON-key and uses the mentioned plastic frame.

The third series of the TI-68 manufactured either in
Malaysia or China has a cheaper appearance.

The first series of the TI-68 uses some
screws to secure the case parts.

The backside of the second TI-68 gives
some other differences: No screws...

The backside of the third TI-68 with some screws
again...

Even the internal construction of the TI-68 variations is different: The printed circuit board (PCB) of the
first version was mounted with some screws, the later product uses heat stamped molds to fix the board.
