production of the TI-31 SOLAR was shifted in 1987
from Japan to China without changing any part of the calculator.
This TI-31 SOLAR manufactured in October 1987 by Toshiba in China makes still use of the T6974S single-chip calculator circuit introduced already in 1984.
The later Italian version of the TI-31 SOLAR looks totally different.
