The
European TI-40 Solar is identical to the
TI-32 Explorer Plus sold in US. An identical housing was used on the simpler Math
Explorer.
Compare this stylish calculator with the first version of the TI-40 Solar.
Dismantling
this calculator manufactured by Nam
Tai Electronics, Inc. in December 1998 reveals a printed circuti board (PCB)
with a TI-32 designator.
In France this calculator - known as TI-40 Collège
- lacked the solar cells. It was replaced later by the 2-line
model TI-40 Collège II.
