Dismantling this Speak & Spell Compact manufactured in November 1982 by Texas Instruments in Italy reveals a design centered around three Integrated Circuits:
• CD8011A: 4-bit
TMS1100 microcontroller with 2k Bytes ROM and 128*4 Bits RAM
• TMC0281: TMS5100A VSP (Voice Synthesis
Processors)
• TMC0350/CD62154: VSM (Voice Synthesis Memory) with
