The 5TI Programmer side by side with the SR-20 calculator.

Dismantling the 5TI Programmer reveals three printed circuit boards (PCB's):
The first PCB carries the keys and the functional LED's
A second one the display borrowed from the SR-20 and some driver circuits
And the most interesting third PCB below of them

Instead of a smart microcontroller there is discrete logic with 
an overall count of 39 integrated circuits.
