This close relative of the TI-1250 followed the "electronic Wizard" introduced in 1975. Main difference is the changed nameplate and the confusing part number:
Citation(R) CALCULATOR BY TEXAS INSTRUMENTS
66-4987-5
We noticed that part number already with the TI-1025 based Citation
introduced in 1977.
The only difference to the TI-1250 are the wooden foil over
the keyplate and the missing TI logo.
With the M4986 a similar calculator
without memory but different nameplates was sold.
