This
Sears LC89 scientific calculator was manufactured in 1981 and is identical with
the Toshiba SLC-8260 introduced already in
1978.
Dismantling
the LC89 reveals indeed a well-known design and even the single-chip calculator
circuit still carries the unusual part number PN1033734-1.
