SuperLibroParlante_1.jpg (330469 Byte)Nothing else than a blue-green colored Touch & Discover distributed by Clementoni with Italian voices stored in the Speech-ROM's.

The toy is intended for players ages 2 to 5.

The idea of the product is simple: Switch the game on and wait for the instructions. The only thing you need is your fingertip.

Dismantling this Super Libro Parlante manufactured in November 1990 by Texas Instruments in the United States reveals a very well engineered printed circuit board (PCB) with just two Integrated Circuits:

TSP50C42/CSM42014: TSP50C50 VSP (Voice Synthesis Processor) with 8-bit microcontroller and 8k Bytes Mask ROM for both program and voice and 128 Bytes + 16 Nibbles RAM
TSP60C19/CMM19016: VSM (Voice Synthesis Memory) with 256k Bits

Forty-six entertaining, educational activities featuring favorite Walt Disney characters were available for the Super Libro Parlante educational product. Fourteen of these activities come with the Super Libro Parlante and thirty-two activities were available in two expansion packs:

Modulo di Espansione N.1 (red)
Modulo di Espansione N.2 (purple)

Each expansion pack contains a cartridge and a set of educational Disney picture panels.

The cartridge itself uses a Speech-ROM TSP60C21 with a capacity of 256k Bits connected to the expansion port of the Super Libro Parlante.

Don't miss the El Super Libro Mágico with its wonderful Spanish language and the French speaking Le Super Livre Magique.
