ProDialer_2.jpg (14977 Byte)The TI-3200 Pro Dialer followed the TI-3100 Pocket Dialer within one year. It is a simple but perfect enhancement of the earlier TI-2700 Mini Data Bank or the TI-2400 Phone Bank

TI-3200_1.jpg (26481 Byte)The backside of the housing covers a loudspeaker compatible with the headset of an old-fashioned phone. By simply choosing one of about 400 named stored in the internal memory the associated number is given on the display. Simply by pressing the red DIAL key the TI-3200 Pro Dialer converts the number digit by digit into the multi-tone sound used in the multi-frequency phones and emits them with the loudspeaker.

ProDialer_1.jpg (17737 Byte)The other
keys access all remaining features of the Pocket Dialer like a 10-digit calculator, a clock with alarm-time, memory space for notes and the Databank.

ProDialer_PCB.jpg (127100 Byte)Recently we noticed a 100% sibling of the TI-3200 Pro Dialer simply called TI-3200 Dialer. Even dismantling both devices revealed no differences.

Both the TI-3200 Dialer and the TI-3200 Pro Dialer were available only two or three years, Texas Instruments never introduced successors.

Texas Instruments launched in 1987 a very innovative product line with the TI-2400 Phone Bank, TI-2600 Personal Banker, TI-2700 Mini Data Bank, and TI-2800 Paperless Printer followed till 1990 with the TI-2100 Pocket Info, TI-2900 Info Bank, TI-3100 Pocket Dialer, TI-3200 Pro Dialer, and TI-3400 EUROPA.

If you know the history of Texas Instruments it seems to commemorate the introduction of the TI-2500 Datamath a quarter century ago.

The TI-3200 Pro Dialer is featured in the Texas Instruments Incorporated leaflet Pocket Solutions (CL-1059) dated 1990.
