Texas Instruments changed the design of the first Spell-Checker RR-1 within a few months, please focus on the printing of the [ON - OFF] key legend.

Dismantling this Spell-Checker manufactured in June 1989 reveals no surprises, the printed circuit board (PCB) seems to be identical.

We recently located a Spell-Checker manufactured end of 1989 with a Hitachi HM62321 Mask ROM instead the Toshiba TC531000 OTP-ROM.

The RR-1 Spell Checker is featured in the Texas Instruments Incorporated leaflet Pocket Solutions (CL-1059) dated 1990.
